Nigeria and the U.S officials have agreed to form a collective bi-national commission.
Both sides acknowledged the major outcomes of the Business Forum which stressed the need for increased United States investments in Nigeria through the provision of an enhanced business climate, policy predictability, and transparency.
“We’ll be working with Nigeria. We are already working with Nigeria. And we’ll expand our cooperation. Because how fast Nigeria moves will in our view not only determine your own future but the market for our own goods and services in the future. We are in a symbiotic race together. This is not a completion between competitors of different teams. But we are pulling with you in all those areas where your president and your government and your industry seeks to diversify and broaden the base of your economic activity,” said John Sullivan, Deputy Secretary of States.
The Governments’ bilateral security cooperation focuses both on immediate threats and medium and long term security and stabilization objectives.
